This week is dyspraxia week so i thought i'd write about my experience as a parent with a child with dyspraxia. Bug was born at 36 weeks so he was classified as a premature baby. He reached some off his milestones by the time he was 18 months but not all. Aswell as his medical problems which is another story he could talk, he pointe to everything got frustrated when he wanted something but no one could understand him. I knew something was up but all the medical professionals kept saying it was a problem at home i was accused off never talking to him bow apparently never spoke to him so apparently he wasn't learning speech that was a pile off rubbish we spoke to him all the time, i read them both stories before bed, bow was 3 so like now couldn't shut her up. This went on for awhile i was banging my head against a brick wall constantly my saviour came when he started nursery. All he could say was eugh eugh constantly for everything so the nursery teacher asked speech and language to come in for to assess him at the time they just said delayed speech and told us they would set a speech programme up for him at school weekly aswell as me working with him at home. Luckily we also got referred to inclusion support and that was a saviour i owe them so much they did loads. They sorted out makaton classes for me as they were teaching Steven it, they sorted out signs throughout the house for him and they sorted out a visual timetable for him. As his behaviour got worse they also supported me with him even when his worker saw him pick up a kids wooden chair and throw it at me it hurt like mad. With everyone working with him they worked out the diagnosis off developmental verbal dyspraxia they diagnosed him at 4 and a half he's just had his 9th birthday and talking loads he still sees his speech therapist often and has support aswell as working to a programme set out for him. He's coming on so well that even the speech therapist who saw him yesterday said he's amazed by how well he's come on.
He's had help from so many people but he's worked so hard to be we're he's at. He's got amazing friends who help him when he needs it and he has his family.

My 30th
Wow what can i say i actually enjoyed my birthday 1st time for everything. On the actual day BUG and BOW woke me up nice and early for breakfast, presents and balloons my mum had come in and decorated my downstairs balloons and banners inside and out announcing to the world how old i am i was so happy needless to say. There had been loads off debate on what i actually wanted to do to celebrate with out kiddies or without. I wanted a big party as personally it's been years. The last party i actually remember really wanting was for my 13th unfortunately my father and evil step mother decided we couldn't afford it also it was the 50th anniversary off VE DAY.
In the end though it was decided by my fantastic mum (fantastic for now anyway) that we should do something completely different and we did we went to a ladies day at Nottingham race course then round Nottingham for drinks. In the end after a few people cancelled we left for the races. One off my friends came who had never been before so she was dubious but in the end she loved it we both won on 2 race each and no one else in our group won we were grinning from ear to ear then came the most embarrassing bit off the day i got hit on by an old man he must've been about 55 while my mate was getting hit on by a gorgeous bloke in his late 20's she found it so funny and i still don't hear the end off it to this day. However the night got loads better eyeing up a few blokes, drinking cocktails and having a fantastic laugh oh yeah mustn't forget meeting some off the cast from Waterloo Road and a cast member from Eastender. Also the most embarrassing bit my mother announcing to everyone in the pub she was having a screaming orgasm my face went as bright red as it has ever been even under the make up.
I know this is again a brief blog but i don't remember much as i was pretty drunk but the cocktails was lovely and i didn't even fall over apart from nearly walking into a lamp post a few times

Oops forgot i had a blog
Wow it wasn't until some reminded me that i have a blog that i realised haven't written any in a long time.
The last year has been non stop so much has happened good and bad and loads more to come. I've had my 30th birthday but when people ask how old i am my reply 29+1 makes me feel a bit younger and not the old granny that i get referred to by my kids, some friends and their kids. I've had my 1st anniversary in a very secret relationship that none off my family even know, i've had loads off laughs and some tears with my life all this along with the constant appointments for BUG but also now BOW is getting some problems along with leaving primary school next week she's had day visits to the new secondary school and i've had plenty off tears when i think off it and no doubt plenty more to come. This is a very short blog but i'll be writing tomz about the laughs that's happened recently including getting chatted up by a 55 year old so embarrassing

CAYTHORPE COURT |
So on wednesday the day they went back Bow walked into school with her suitcase with a massive smile on her face and all her friends grinning from ear to ear.
The school was fantastic we got regular up dates with the activities they were doing and how they slept it was fantastic and i have to say made myself and other parents jealous.
On the 1st day there they left school at 11 and think they must've started activites near enough straight away these included Zip Wire, Vertical Challenge and Ambush, they had an early night apparently even though lights out was 10 Bow and 3 of her friends who were all sharing the room stopped talking about 11. All to prepare them for a full day off activities the next day.
On day 2 they had there breakfast then went off Kayaking where Bow decided to wear one her t-shirts she wears everyday she decided against the old one i put in a bag marked for Kayaking after this it was lunch then on to the afternoon activities which involved climbing then the big swing apparently the boys was expecting Bow to be to scared and not do climbing little did they know that she had actually been climbing before and used to do it as a sport and has climbed 70ft up on her very 1st attempt not bad considering she was only 7. Then it was a relaxing evening with a camp fire then bed apparently Bow and her friends went to sleep arounf 10:15 they must've been exhausted.
On day 3 this involved mainly morning activities as they came home this afternoon. Apparently the kid's slept like logs pardon the pun. For the 2 activities they did abseiling and trapeze then Bow's favorite hobbey shopping then home time.
BOW called the whole experience awesome and fantastic. The food was also fantastic. I didn't just take Bow's word for it i spoke to her many friends as they came off the bus and then spoke to some this evening. All the kid's came back exhausted but so happy but apparently 3 days wasn't enough she want's to go for a week. Problem being now Bow wanting to go on a family holiday there.

COMING TOMZ BOW'S REVIEW ON SOME OFF THE ACTIVITIES she's fast asleep and has been for hour's
I HAVE NOT BEEN ASKED TO DO THIS.
Me
O.k so i hate writing about myself but i realised i'm not going to get more follows if i don't start writing more and also telling you about myself and my children.
I think i'm going to do a basic outline off everything i have been through and just put a bit about them and i will put more details on at a later date. I am going to start writing this blog most days as loads happen to me from fantastic to bad and some just pure weird. I may only be 29 but i have been through so much in one lifetime more than anyone should and all before i hit 30.
O.k so 1st i come from a broken home my mum left my dad when i was 5 i have a younger sis and bro my mum went off with another man who she later married. My dad took years to find love again he used to take us to a group called Gingerbread where he found love again at 1st us kid's loved our new step dad and step mum we were spoilt rotten (one of the many joys off a broken home) all this time we lived with our dad he got many suspicious looks as when he was single and raising 2 girls they didn't think about him raising my brother. However i have to say my dad did a fantastic good job better when he was single than with his now ex wife the one after my mother, yes we have had major falling's out and i didn't talk to him for over a year once i was older more about that later though that was fun not.

o.k so as i have said both my parent's got re-married and all was well and good for a couple off years then i hit teenage years yep DUM DE DUM lol. The teenage years started out fun sneaking out to nappie nights (18 under's club) seeing friends etc. Then the trouble started which would set the path for my life. My ex step mother who myself and friends referred to and still refer to as the wicked witch off the north, south, east and west, started hitting me and my brother i wore so much make up to cover my BLACK EYE for a school photo once i needed to have a belt taken to me for wearing make up doesn't make sense i know considering what i was covering up. At this time my dad was at work all time and if he wasn't at work he was at the pub (he still does that now pub then work and at weekends shop then pub). Myself and my brother who is younger than me bore the brunt off it my sister was the apple off her eye along with her own son. Then one night i went to a nappie night and the next day i moved up to live with my mum (nappie night another story). I was so happy after my dad and the witch i thought new place, new start and new school you see my mum lives's 3 hours away and i thought heaven. I was so excited but 1 nightmare turned into a even worse nightmare.
I was RAPED by my step dad at the age off 15 it went on for 17 months. I became so withdrawn and didn't tell anyone, then i confided in one off good friends she then told an adult
and i cannot re-pay her enough for helping me even though at the time i didn't thank her. I have blanked out most off it but needless to say it is something that i live with everyday off my life. What did help is that when it was finally disclosed he was charged and it went to crown court and he was found guilty on 10 counts off rape and sentenced to 12 years (more about this another time) however what i will say this is when my DEPRESSION started. After this i went off the rails and didn't care what i was doing and who i was hurting and that is how BOW came about she has no contact with her dad that's a long story he has never seen her though. I credit falling pregnant with BOW with saving me but that bought me on my next chapter.
Becoming a TEENAGE PARENT as we called it then however there now called YOUNG MUM'S (prefer this name sounds so much better) i fell pregnant at 17 but found out a couple off weeks after my 18th birthday. Then i started dating the person who i though was the love off my life turns out he wasn't. At 1st he was fantastic when we were friends he came to ante-natal appointments with me he was the same age as me then after BOW was born we started dating then i fell pregnant.
ANDREW my angel baby i was so happy but we were both scared we were both only 19 at that time BOW had just had her 1st birthday. However things soon took a turn for the worse with my pregnancy my waters broke at 17 wks turns out i had CMV early in pregnancy which caused alot off problems and unfortunately he never made it i gave birth to him in 2002 and he passed away before he was born and we buried him 1 week after my 20th birthday. Our relationship didn't survive however before i left him i fell pregnant again with BUG who has his own problems.

Riots 2011 what is the point
What is this country coming to all this rioting around the country. I have heard and read so many conflicting reports about why this all started and all it seems to me is excuse after excuse. I was watching Sky News coverage last night off it, and i was shocked at the images don't get me wrong i am not criticizing them for showing it what i am shocked at is the horror's i saw missiles being thrown at policemen, buildings being set fire to and innocent bystanders to scared to come out their house's. My heart went out to the police officer that was hurt by a missile live on television but also shows the courage and bravery they show everyday, his colleagues protecting him, covering him making it safer for a medic to tend to the wounded. In all this rioting there are a lot off people showing courage against a horrible situation and my example was just one example off many. At the time off writing this i have just heard that there are already crowd build ups at certain place around the country and not far from me in Nottingham however this is just speculation i have not heard anything concrete. Lets hope this situation gets sorted out quickly. I HAVE NOTHING BUT PRAISE FOR THE POLICE WHO ARE FACING DIFFICULT SITUATIONS.

Generosity between strangers
The one thing i don't see often is generosity between complete strangers not because people are spiteful but usually because people don't have much money. So needless to say i was in complete shock when last Saturday myself and bow were on the train home, our 3rd train in 4 hours so we were both fed up and wanting to get home. The train was really busy as it was a late train home so people were drunk and being merry, a couple sat opposite us at the table where we were, Bow got talking to them about what she had been up to as she was wearing a football shirt she was given at a charity event earlier in the day, she also explained that we were travelling home this late as we were doing our local race for life the next day and how she had only been sponsored £4. The male in this couple felt sorry for her he sponsored her £5 on the spot then to complete strangers on the train he shouted out to get their wallets and purses out so they could sponsor this girl and the shock is they did, just on that train ride she had raised £30.12p from complete strangers. They made a 10 year old girl very happy and still boasts about what happened and it still makes me smile.
